Do you have a rigging loft and retail shop I can visit?
Yes, UK Rigging Solutions is based in the North East of England. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Other times can be made by arrangement. [ top ]
Can you offer a mobile service?
Yes, we provide a nationwide rigging service. Our team are insured to work aloft and we can provide a 24-hour emergency service. [ top ]
Can you splice an eye into my halyard?
Yes UK Rigging Solutions provide a full range of hand splicing, including wire and wire to rope splices. [ top ]
My rigging requires additional fittings making. Can you help?
Yes, we offer a stainless steel fabrication service. [ top ]
Can you shorten my existing rigging?
Yes, but please remember you will lose approximately 85mm in making a new Talurit eye and about 50mm with a swaged fitting. Whilst we take every care in shortening your rigging, we cannot accept any responsibility for accuracy or breakages of your old wire. [ top ]
I’m having problems finding someone to swage 10mm wire, what size of wire do you go up to?
Our in-house Wireteknik and Talurit presses provide swaged wires from to 1.5mm to 12mm and are usually produced the same day of order. In addition we can supply cables up to 26mm within 7 working days. [ top ]
I’m not sure of the exact length of my cables, is this a problem?
No, we can fit one end of your cable and provide you with a swageless fitting. We are distributors for Sta-Lok, Blue Wave, Norseman and other leading brands of fitting. [ top ]
I need a consistent quality of rope, can you guarantee this?
The marine environment is extremely harsh. We strongly believe that reliability and quality is vital for safety and pleasure. As such we only stock ropes and wires from leading manufacturers such as English Braids, Kingfisher, Sta-Lok and Blue Wave. [ top ]
The rig of a boat is a major consideration when selling/buying a boat. Do you keep a record of the work you have done?
Yes, we can provide a certificate giving the date of manufacturer and the work carried out. We keep records of each coil of wire and rope, including the batch numbers, suppliers and any other important reference information. [ top ]
How often should I check my rig?
Keeping an eye on your rigging is vital, but certainly your rig should be thoroughly checked yearly. UK Rigging Solutions can provide you with a professional rig check and produce a customised maintenance program for your mast and rigging. [ top ]
